This Python lesson introduces pupils learning programming, about basic if statements and if…else statements. It is suitable for KS3 computing and GCSE 9-1 computer science pupils. It also teaches them about flow diagrams including terminators, input/output boxes, processes and decision diamonds.


It includes an attractive dyslexia friendly PowerPoint presentation that includes differentiated lesson objectives, several videos to teach key skills and lots practical programming practice. It also includes a comprehensive teacher’s lesson plan including all the answers.


Please note: This lesson does not teach pupils about nested if statements or elif statements as that is covered in another lesson.
